Demolition

Imagine you are in the wine cellar of an abandoned house.  Insects swarm across an empty wall, throbbing and flowing, before they are suddenly interrupted by something much....larger.  This scenario, which blossomed into a short story after an intense dream, can now be experienced in Peculiar Adventures 3 from Pro Se Productions.  Click the following link to find paperback copies or downloads of my new story, "Demolition"!  http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/pro-se-presents-peculiar-adventures-3/14419041?productTrackingContext=search_results/search_shelf/center/3

"Trail of Tears" Project Progressing

Extensive research and a detailed outline are in place as the foundation for a new writing project takes shape.  The novel, which focuses on how urban sprawl conflicts with history and nature, takes place in the mountains of North Carolina.  "The Trail of Tears", a tragic event during which Native Americans were forced to abandon their homes and travel on foot to Oklahoma, plays a pivotal role in the book.  As the novel grows and expands, I'll provide updates.  Even though the project conveys deep historical and environmental undertones, it will also contain supernatural elements and action scenes.

Old Manuscripts

I am currently rewriting two novels, both of which were completed in the 1990's.  The first novel, which takes place in the years 1945 and 1969 before switching to the present day, required tons of research about the different eras.  One-hundred pages were missing from the second novel due to an outdated word processing program and two chaotic moves over the years.  I've bridged the gap in the book and restored the manuscript, which will make the rewrite much easier.  I hope to have both novels updated and ready to submit in late 2011.

Hellhound

Pro Se Productions recently published my short story, "Hellhound", in the October 2010 issue of Fantasy and Fear.  An author and his wife, an E.R. nurse, attend a dream interpretation class during a thunderstorm.  When the author tells the group about one of his nightmares, the rest of the group's response takes them by surprise.  Sometimes a nightmare can manifest in real life!  To read "Hellhound", click the following link:  http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/pro-se-presents-fantasy-and-fear-%232/13219678.  Hard copies and e-copies of the magazine are available.
